As of today, February 1, 2023, the team for the implementation of the project “Creation of a center for integrated social and health services at one stop in Stolipinovo district” has increased with six more members – three social workers /two at half-time/ and three educational mediators /two and a half state/. The specialists will work to recruit and involve children and adults in the project activities, will work with teachers, parents and children in order to increase the level of enrollment in kindergartens and schools, will organize women’s groups. Part of the activities will be carried out in a group format, and the social workers will support the work of the teachers in the team in carrying out the activities related to the development of language skills in Bulgarian, art activities, they will mediate the distribution of food and the distribution of training and information materials.
The team’s working day started with a meeting with the project manager Nedka Petrova and the manager of the center Nadezhda Dishlieva, in which the employees were greeted with “Welcome!”. The project manager shared the expectations for the team and their role as ambassadors of the project to the community, as well as the main goals to be achieved. Mrs. Petrova emphasizes the values in social work and work with people from vulnerable groups, namely tolerance, non-judgmental attitude, acceptance of differences.
Until the construction of the Center building at 61 “Kalina” Street, the employees and users will use the administrative building of the Foundation for Regional Development “Roma” – partner of the Plovdiv municipality on the project.
