In order to overcome the problems and risks of the lack of health prevention for persons without health insurance, the project envisages hiring two doctors (pediatrician and gynecologist) to perform preventive examinations in the Social Center building itself. Medical examination packages will be provided for at least 990 uninsured members of the Roma community.
Health mediators (hired by the Municipality of Plovdiv) will work directly on the ground in the community to identify people without health insurance who are most in need of health care.
Within the framework of the educational activities, we will work with children who are not included in the preschool education system, and the goal will be to motivate parents to enroll them in kindergarten.
Activities with artistic activities are planned, which will play a role in improving the language capabilities of Roma children by practicing the Bulgarian language in real life situations.
An art teacher will be employed to carry out art activities under the project, who will organize creative workshops in drawing and applied arts, where children will be encouraged to talk about their works.
Two educational mediators will work with parents and children to increase their motivation to participate in the educational process.
20 children will be included in music classes, which will seek to achieve an effect both for increasing their self-esteem and inclusion, and for developing their communication skills and abilities in the Bulgarian language.
A community dining hall will be opened and maintained to offer food to children in need.
