Improving access and quality of sectoral or integrated services for Roma through one-stop services
The Municipality of Plovdiv will introduce the one-stop shop in Stolipinovo quarter to adapt the provision of administrative services to the needs of ethnic minorities living in segregated communities. The center, which will be created under the project, will focus in particular on improving access to social, educational and health services for the residents of the largest segregated neighborhood in Bulgaria. One manager and three consultants will coordinate the work of the one-stop service center and provide not only valuable information on administrative procedures, but also direct assistance in filling out application forms and other documents. They will be the first point of contact in case of emergency and will help local residents to overcome complex administrative procedures. The following sub-activities will be carried out in the center:
providing assistance to the members of the Roma community and other communities with a similar socio-economic status in filling out forms addressed to the municipal and state administration;
with the cooperation of the international partner, a multimedia hall with a creative corner (makerspace) will be created. It will be equipped with stationary computers, copying, scanning and printing machines and a projector. The hall can be used both for conducting trainings from certified institutes and for the daily compilation, scanning and printing of documents for presentation to municipal or state institutions or for job applications;
directing community members to the competent state institutions on issues that affect them as individuals and as a community.
